Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis

Internal Assessment

A high-level review of your own activities acts as a foundation for understanding where a partner might complement and enhance existing programming.

To understand where a partner can add value to your work, carry out an internal review of:

Current Activities:
Review ongoing projects, processes, and outcomes. Are the outcomes meeting your objectives? Particularly, your ability to address a gender norm
Collect quantitative and qualitative data from various departments to get a holistic view of the organisation’s activities
Look at key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand what’s working well and what isn’t.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
Perform a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis to identify internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats.
Conduct surveys or interviews with employees to gain insights into internal processes and areas needing improvement.
Compare your organization’s performance with industry standards or competitors to identify areas for improvement

To inform the review, gather input from employees, management, your audience and suppliers and other relevant parties to understand different perspectives of your progress, strengths and weaknesses. Understand their perspectives on current activities and potential areas for collaboration
